Repeat after me: There is no 'privacy-preserving data sharing' and can never logically be.
Data exists, or it does not. You trust someone, or you do not. You don't need privacy in a good commune, because nobody wants to hurt you. This dude? Literally murdering innocents, together with all his predecessors. For decades.
Reject all of their filthy attempts to acquire even more abuse mechanisms.
Mindful use of the internet goes a long way. Know your network connections. Insist on paper for all forced interaction with the system.

But it doesn't matter, both are equally worthless and malicious. None of this prevents any abuse whatsoever. They have scale and power to hurt you using the smallest data-bites. And are using it to suppress and kill decent people since decades. Did we forget PRISM already? Seriously? These are empty buzzwords to trick you into believing they have anything more than contempt for you.
